International maritime signal flags

International maritime signal flags are used to communicate with ships. They include alphabet (letter) flags, number flags, substitute flags, and a Code answer pennant. Each letter flag is responsible for a letter (A-to-Z) and has its own ICS (International Code of Signals) meaning. This meaning depends on whether the flag is hoisted singly or with numeric complements. The “combination” meaning is described below the main one.

The total number of flags equals 41.

  • They are easy to hoist and replace
  • The flags are sewed from the highest quality, 100% knitted polyester.
  • They are antistatic, soft, UV resistant, fade resistant, wind and moisture resistant.
  • The fabric is translucent with a mirrored-image on the back.
  • Photographic quality sublimation printing technology.
  • The flag's outer edges are hemmed and double-stitched.
  • The hoist part is reinforced with a special corsage tape, making a loop at the top and the bottom.
