United Kingdom Courtesy flag

The flag of the United Kingdom also called the Union Flag is composed of the elements representing its constituent countries: England, Scotland and Ireland. The elements are the following (in the same sequence): the red Cross of Saint George, the Saltire of Saint Andrew and the Cross of St Patrick. Wales is not represented since it formed part of the Kingdom of England at the time the flag was designed. The flag was adopted in 1801 what makes it one of the oldest among currently existing flags.
