Palau is an island country in the western Pacific Ocean. It constitutes part of the Caroline Islands in Micronesia. The flag of Palau consists of a large yellow disk centered in relation to vertical axis and slightly shifted to the hoist-side of the flag. The disk represents the full moon, while blue color represents the Pacific Ocean. The flag was adopted in 1981.
