The flag of Slovenia consists of three horizontal stripes of white, blue and red (from top to bottom). The flag is charged with a coat of arms placed in the canton and overlapping the blue and the white stripes. The coat of arms includes a silhouetted white mountain and three six-pointed golden stars above it all placed on the blue background. The coat of arms is bordered red. The flag was adopted in 1991.
