The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina includes a yellow right triangle with hypotenuse crossing the center of the flag in its half and one of its sides lying in the top line of the flag. The three points of this polygon symbolize the three main ethnic groups of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Along the hypotenuse, there are nine white stars. These elements are placed on a blue background.
