El Salvador is the smallest country in Central America but has the highest population density in the region. The flag of El Salvador represents a triband with two blue horizontal bands and a white one between them. On the white band, you will find a coat of arms, on which there are numerous elements such as a tropical landscape, a rainbow, forested volcanoes, flags, a national motto, and a Phrygian cap (also known as liberty cap) that signifies freedom.
