The flag of Georgia, also called the Five Cross Flag, represents a red cross aligned to the center and dividing the white field into four equal rectangles. In the center of each rectangle there is a smaller “Bolnisi” red cross. The current version of the flag was used by the Georgian patriotic movement that followed the country's independence from the Soviet Union. The flag was adopted several years after, in 2004.
