Guam is an unincorporated and organized territory of the USA. Located in the western Pacific Ocean, Guam constitutes part of Micronesia. The flag of Guam represents the national coat of arms placed on a dark blue background with a narrow border colored dark red. On the coat of arms, there is a depiction of the seashore, a palm in the foreground, a sailboat in the midground, and a rock chain in the background. The name of the country is placed in the center of the coat of arms. The flag was adopted in 1948.
