The flag of Honduras represents a horizontal triband. Between two light blue bands, there is a white band with 5 five-pointed light blue stars on it arranged in an X pattern. The blue color symbolizes the sea, the ocean, the sky, and the brotherhood. The white color stands for the peace, prosperity, and purity of thoughts. The flag was adopted in 1866.
