The flag of Ireland, also known as “Irish tricolor” represents a vertical tricolor with green, white, and orange stripes. The flag’s colors are symbolic: orange color stands for the minority Protestants, while the green color represents Roman Catholics; white color symbolizes the hope for union between them. The flag was adopted in 1922.
