The flag of Ivory Coast represents a vertical triband with bands colored in the following colors: orange, white, and green. Green color symbolizes the confidence in a better future; white color stands for the peace; orange color symbolizes the struggle and the richness and the generosity of the land. The flag was adopted in 1959.
