The flag of Lebanon consists of two horizontal red stripes divided by a wider white stripe on which there is a depiction of a green Lebanon cedar. The flag is a Spanish fess model since its middle stripe is twice as wide as the stripes surrounding it. The flag was adopted in 1943.
