Norway is a Scandinavian country that has a broad coastline. It borders the Barents Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. The flag of Norway represents a Nordic Cross with a red field and an indigo blue cross bordered white. The cross is placed in the middle of the flag in relation to vertical axis and shifted to the left side. The flag was adopted in 1821.
