Samoa is an island country located in Polynesian subregion in the Pacific Ocean. The flag of Samoa has a red field and a blue rectangle in the canton. In the rectangle there is a constellation Southern Cross formed by four large five-pointed white stars and one smaller star. The flag was adopted in 1949.
