São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country consisting of two archipelagos and situated in the Gulf of Guinea near the equatorial line. The flag of São Tomé and Príncipe consists of an isosceles red triangle based on the left side, two horizontal green stripes at the top and the bottom and one wider yellow stripe between them containing two five-pointed black stars representing the two islands forming the country.
