The flag of Spain includes two horizontal red stripes at the top and at the bottom and a wider yellow stripe between them on which you will find the national coat of arms. The coat of arms represents a shield ornamented with two columns surrounded by a ribbon to the left and to the right of the shield, and the Royal Crown. The shield is divided into 4 quarters each having a separate picture: there is a castle, a lion rampant and two pattern pictures. The flag was adopted in 1981.
